While Elle and I are not sure that the RECAP really brought the A Game this week, my sheer relief that Gossip Girl is back stifled any disappointment I may have. Still, check it out as they definitely hit several of the key points from last night.
Perhaps my favorite was that Nate really thought he got into Columbia by himself. (1) You still have to put your name on the application, genius and (2) He totally wrote his essay about his dad getting arrested and sent to jail. Top tier schools love that kind of stuff. Example: This one girl who Elle and I went to high school with was dumb as ROCKS. I mean. Really, really STUPID. BUT! She had cancer when she was 3 (I'm not heartless, she has been in remission since), wrote her essay about it and magically got into a school I'm pretty sure would have rejected me if I had given them the chance.
Let that be a lesson. Experience some hardship and you will reap endless benefits...FOREVER.
